"What a "strange" day! After we talked, I went to a couple of appointments and came home to read a new email from the recruiter. The last email I received from them was on Monday night telling me they were "moving on to other candidates for the job" (i.e. you are no longer being considered).
After we met this morning, [to process the loss and refocus the energy], I got a new email that said that they had made a mistake sending me the earlier email, that "it was sent in error, with sincere apologies for the mistake", and that they actually want me to continue to interview for the role."
